Selecting a Web Host

A web hosting company will allow you to get your website on the internet. They do this by providing you with space on their servers where you can upload and store your web pages, images, and site files. Once your pages are uploaded, anyone in the world will be able to access and view them.

Along with the cost of many other internet services, the cost of web hosting has declined over the years. It is now quite reasonable to obtain web hosting for just a few dollars a month.

For web hosting, I use HostGator.com. It allows me to host unlimited websites and create unlimited MySQL databases from the same account. The plans are month to month contracts and there are no set up fees.
